Abstract
Coordination problems within organizations emerge as a result of interdependent behavior and asymmetrically distributed information or incomplete contracts. Game Theory provides a methodological toolbox that can be used for the analysis of organizational problems and the development of instruments for their solution. Its traditionally narrow behavioral assumptions are not empirically or experimentally supported under all circumstances. Alternative assumptions and a combination of research approaches are therefore meaningful.
